Meet the Principal: Elementary School Tour (Kinder–5th Grade)

Meet Mrs. Walker and Explore Redeemer

A Parent-Focused School Visit for Kinder Bridge–5th Grade Families

Join Mrs. Walker for a warm, welcoming visit to Redeemer School. Walk through our elementary learning spaces, glimpse classrooms in action, and learn how we support the whole child through faith, kindness, and joyful learning.

This parent-focused visit is for families who are beginning to explore Christian education or private elementary school options in North and Central Austin, with a special focus on Redeemer’s Kinder Bridge–5th Grade program. The experience is relaxed and conversational — not a formal presentation — with time to ask questions about admissions, tuition, and next steps.

A Safe, Joyful Place for Your Child to Learn, Grow and Belong

At Redeemer, children are known, supported, and encouraged every day. Our experienced teachers nurture both academic growth and character development in a caring, faith-centered environment.

Families value our dedicated educators, hands-on classroom experiences, and focus on the whole child. Our North/Central Austin campus offers a welcoming community where children feel confident, connected, and excited to learn. We also provide guidance on admissions, tuition, and ESA/TEFA options to help families navigate next steps.

Meet our Elementary School Team

Mrs. Walker is Redeemer’s Elementary Principal and a longtime educator who leads with warmth, care, and a deep love for children. Families appreciate her open-door approach and thoughtful leadership, and the way she takes time to truly know each student and support every family.

During your visit, Mrs. Walker will share what learning looks like across Kinder Bridge–5th Grade and answer questions about classrooms, curriculum, enrichment, and next steps.

You’ll also be welcomed by a few members of our team, including our exceptional music and choir teacher, Mrs. Hormuth, and our beloved PE teacher, Mrs. Redmond. Mrs. Hormuth will speak about Redeemer’s enrichment programs (Music, Art, STEM, Spanish, Chapel). Mrs. Redmond will share a beautiful reflection of the lasting relationships and sense of family that make Redeemer special.

During Your Visit

You’ll be welcomed on campus and have time to settle in, meet other families, and take in student artwork before the group gathers with Mrs. Walker.

From there, Mrs. Walker will guide you through our elementary halls, offering a glimpse into classrooms and daily life at Redeemer as you pass our courtyard and playground spaces. The group will then gather in the Library for a conversation about our Kinder Bridge–5th Grade program, school culture, and what learning looks like at Redeemer.

You’ll also hear from members of our team about enrichment and specials, including music and physical education, and have time for questions in a relaxed, conversational setting.

While this is not a full campus tour, you’ll get a meaningful feel for our learning spaces and, most importantly, the educators who will partner with you in your child’s education.

Who Should Attend

This event is designed as a parent-focused experience for families exploring Kindergarten or Elementary School (Kinder Bridge–5th Grade), parents new to Redeemer, families considering a school change, or anyone curious about our elementary program.

Because this tour takes place during the school day and focuses on parent conversation and classroom observation, we ask that adults attend without children when possible.

Families interested in student visits or shadow days are encouraged to connect with our Admissions team to arrange those separately, [email protected].
