Co and Extracurricular Activities

EARLY CHILDHOOD

The following programs partner with Redeemer by coming to our school and providing lessons at an additional cost after the school day.  Participation is optional.

  • Kindergym – tumbling and beginning gymnastics
  • Kinderdance – beginning ballet and tap dance
  • Soccer Shots – introduction to ball handling and shooting skills 

 

 

 ELEMENTARY 

After-school enrichment opportunities may require additional fees.

  • After School Basketball & Volleyball (1st-4th Grade)
  • Kids Acting (1st-5th Grade) Sing, dance, act, and play fun theatre games.
  • Drone Flying Adventures (1st-5th Grade)
  • Kula Karate (Kinder-5th Grade)
  • PSIA Academic Competition (1st-5th Grade)
  • SCRIPPS Spelling Bee (1st-5th Grade)
  • Redeemer School of Performing Arts (1st-5th Grade) – Piano, violin, guitar, and voice lessons
  • Sole to Soul (KBR-5th Grade) – a family-friendly event that combines fundraising with fun activities
  • Reading Buddies – older students support and mentor younger students during reading times
  • CAPPS Athletics (5th Grade) - League and individual competitions in flag football, volleyball, basketball, track & field, tennis, golf, soccer, and cross country.
 

MIDDLE SCHOOL 

Redeemer Middle School students have many opportunities to engage in community with other students and grow in leadership. The following activities are available to all 6th-8th grade students. Some activities require additional fees. 

  • Student Council – students plan school dances and service opportunities
  • Beginning and Advanced Band – Redeemer students join other schools to form a larger band that performs multiple times a year. Rehearsals and performances may occur during, before, and/or after school.
  • Middle School Musical – this elective class also requires after-school rehearsals as the performance dates are near. Students perform a junior version of a Broadway musical.  Recent musicals include "The Music Man", "Sound of Music",  “Mary Poppins”, "Frozen", and “Aladdin”. 
  • PSIA Academic Competition – Students compete in local and state academic competitions
  • Redeemer School of Performing Arts – Piano, violin, guitar, and voice lessons 
  • Dodgeball Competition – student teams compete in a special tournament to have fun and raise money for school improvements
  • Middle School Dances - Redeemer hosts 3 middle school dances each year (Fall, Winter, and Spring)
  • Eports - a form of competition that involves video games and school teams competing against each other.
  • CAPPS Athletics - League and individual competitions in flag football, volleyball, basketball, track & field, tennis, golf, soccer, and cross country.
