Tuition Assistance Program
How Financial Support Works at Redeemer
Redeemer School is committed to making a Christ-centered Lutheran education accessible to families whenever possible. Financial support may come from state-based programs and/or school-based tuition assistance, depending on eligibility.
To steward resources responsibly and equitably, Redeemer follows a two-step process when financial assistance is requested.
Step 1: Apply for Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA)
All families requesting financial assistance are asked to apply for TEFA first. The Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) is a state-funded program designed to help families offset private school tuition. Applying for TEFA helps maximize outside funding before school-based tuition assistance is awarded, allowing Redeemer to support as many families as possible.
What to know about TEFA:
-
The application is straightforward and quick
-
Eligibility criteria are set by the state of Texas
-
Funding availability may change year to year
-
Families who do not qualify for TEFA are still eligible to apply for Redeemer Tuition Assistance
