Favorite Bible Verse: Matthew 5:14-16 – You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

Treasure about teaching kids: I treasure being able to watch their faith develop as we plant the seeds for their relationship with God. I also love to watch them develop their understanding of the world and to see their joy as they learn and master new concepts.

Treasure about teaching kids: What I treasure most about teaching young children is the joy I feel when I see their little faces light up with joy, love, and understanding.

Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 16: 8-11 – I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Treasure about teaching kids: I love being reminded by my students how amazing it is to be a child of God. They remind me of my need for a Savior. He calls us to trust him in everything, and to have the faith of a child, one who depends on the Father.

Favorite Bible Verse: Matthew 6:25-26 – Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Are you not of more value than they?

Favorite Bible Verse: Hebrews 12:1-3 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sits at the right hand of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Treasure about teaching kids: Kids are such a reflection of faith, hope, and love. It is such a joy to see in them the things that God has told us to value in our relationship with him.
