CHAPEL AT REDEEMER
We Strive to Make Disciples of Children through Leadership
During the school year, each class has an opportunity to lead Chapel. This allows for each child to present to an audience of over 400 students and faculty building real-world presentation skills and in an environment where self-confidence is grown through a supportive, loving staff.
We Strive to Make Disciples of Children through Outreach
Gary Chapman wrote about the Five Love Languages, one of which is Gift Giving. There are local organizations and partners where Austinites can go for help – cancer patients, expectant mothers, soldiers, families in need of food and clothing. Every month, our children can participate in collecting donations for these organizations. The offerings are presented during a focused time at Chapel for staff and campus visitors to witness.
We Support the “How” in Being Christian
Knowing how to be a Christian can be challenging. We have degreed Ministers of Christian Education that teach our children what, how, and where to be Christian starting in a Christian-based environment.
Building Relationships, Building Community
Redeemer Lutheran School supports over 500 families across all of our schools. The whole school community comes together at least once a month to worship and give thanks for the love of Jesus Christ. A family who worships together stays together, and that includes our children and the lifelong friends they make at Redeemer.
Focusing on Others before Self
We talk about how Jesus is our role model and focused on others as well. Chapel helps children to focus on others before self by praying for those in need and giving thanks to God.
Parents Are the Example-Setters
Parents are the strongest influencers in the lives of their children; they are their primary teachers. We love to have families attend the Chapel services, providing a visual cue to their children that communicate their love for Jesus Christ as example-setters.
Redeemer Lutheran School intentionally engages children with interactive worship. Our chapel has large white screens supporting visual aids for sing-alongs, and a fantastic sound system for upbeat music. Student engagement is the key! It’s just fun!
