Jane Strickert

Jane Strickert holds a BA in Music, with a major in Voice, and a minor in pipe organ from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and a Master of Arts in Teaching (Music K-12); and Ph.D. in music, Voice Performance Practices from Washington University, St Louis, Missouri. She has performed extensively as a singer in St Louis, Chicago, the state of Washington and other venues throughout the Midwest. She has served on the voice faculty of several colleges and universities during her life, including Austin’s own Concordia University, and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She taught in the public music schools of Ladue, Mo, and the Parkway School system in the St Louis area, following receiving the MAT in music education. Her piano and organ skills have served in the music ministries of several churches while she and her husband, Rick, reared two lovely daughters, Amy and Katy.
