Bryan Sunderman began playing the guitar seriously at age 13. With the help of his musical family, he learned the styles of bluegrass and country. He began performing in church at the same age. At age 15 he started his first band and continued teaching himself and collaborating with musicians. Recently he has begun his studies at the University of Texas. He is working on his bachelors degree in classical guitar performance with Adam Holzman at the Butler School of Music. He has performed his classical repertory in and around Austin and most recently he played a concert for the University of Michoacan in Morelia, Mexico. He has attended the Mediterranean Guitar Festival in Cervo, Italy. He has studied in private lessons and masterclasses with many world renowned guitarists including, Andrew Zohn, Richard Todd, Jeffery McFadden, Lorenzo Micheli, Matteo Mela, Ana Vidovic and Xuefei Yang. Bryan plans to continue his education at the Butler School of Music, concentrating on classical music but also studying jazz and music of other cultures.
